Some of us would rather not.
Whether it happened by accident, or it was planned, at night in the back seat of a car, in our parents' basement while they were away, in a tiny dormitory room in college, at the graveyard or in an open field --- the first time stays with us. We shall share what it was like when you went "All The Way."
Some of us went in with outrageous expectations... or fear ...or uncontrolled giggling. All of our myths about sex came with us to that first time.
This feature is meant to be an exploration of human sexuality, and our personal emotional experiences.

My first time was with my husband.
Yeah, I'm one of those women who actually "saved" herself for marriage. That was the way I was brought up.
But don't think because of that that I'm somehow cold or unfun-loving. I went to dances, and movies, and stuff with boys. I just didn't go further than I wanted to go.
I knew the right man would come along one day, who loved me as I loved him, and then he would understand my wanting him to wait.
That man was Will, and we have been married for ten years now. I have never regretted waiting for Will, but when I found him it was just about like you see in the movies. We had stars in our eyes.
I'll never forget our first date, when he took me down to Denver to this swanky restaurant, and then out dancing. Will is still the best dancer I have ever met, and he still fits into the same clothes as he wore when we were going out.
He works hard, respects women, and paid my way through college, too.
I don't think many women could look back on a first time that good. And I thank God every day for how I met my husband, my lover, and the father of our children.
