Rock Steady: The Noho district of New York is gradually starting to make its way onto the cultural map of the world's most exciting city. No small thanks goes to a little club called Arlene Grocery. It's a place for bands to cut their chops, even though they have to be "hot" before appearing before the unforgiving New York audience.

If Alanis Morrisette could play a 12-string guitar like a virtuoso, while also writing challenging songs, she would be New York folk/acoustic metal singer/song-writer Swati. But she's not.

Swati is so good that it's dazzling and mesmerizing to watch her. Her lyrics are so raw and engaging that you know you are in the presence of a major talent.

Who would have expected The World's Magazine to open like SPIN or ROLLING STONE? Then again "Eclecticism" is our middle name .... (CONTINUED INSIDE.)
